About the Event

We warmly invite all our Kitah Vav (6th Grade) students and their parents to join us for an important and meaningful morning of family learning — our Annual World Wide Wrap & B’nai Mitzvah Orientation.

On this special Sunday, Jews around the world will be celebrating the mitzvah of wrapping Tefillin at their morning minyanim.  The Temple Aliyah Men’s Club and our Kitah Vav (6th grade) class will join together for this special morning.  A bagel breakfast will be served. Then the clegy will join the SCJLL directors to give B’nai Mitzvah families an orientation into the process here at Temple Aliyah.

  • In the weeks leading up to the World Wide Wrap, the students in Kitah Vav will be learning all about tefillin and creating their own pair (with the help of the Temple Aliyah Men’s Club)
  • At 8:45 am on the day of the program, all students and parents will meet in the Galleria to begin wrapping their tefillin (with help from the Temple Aliyah Men’s Club).  We will have the tefillin that the students made in class. Parents can bring their own set if they have.  Kids and parents will then participate in wrapping tefgillin together for morning minyan.
  • When the minyan is done, we will all have a light bagel breakfast together.
  • After the breakfast, students and their parents will participate in the B’nai Mitzvha Orientation, a special program just for our Kitah vav students.  The program is a chance for parents and kids alike to study, learn, and have fun together around the important topic their upcomning B’nai Mitzvah.

This program is a CRUCIAL piece of our B’nai Mitzvah process and the SCJLL curriculum. We expect that all students and their families will join us for this program. Please RSVP by Monday, January 29.
