Parking & Shuttle

UPDATED 10/24/18
Two Parking options:

Option 1: Please find street parking near Ezzi Masjid (5701 Platt Ave.), which is where the March will conclude.  Be sure to obey all parking restrictions.  Shuttle buses will leave the corner of Platt and Burbank beginning at 1:00pm (roughly every 15-20 minutes) to take patrons to the beginning of our walk route at Temple Aliyah.

Option 2: Parking is available in the lot at Hillpoint School (6601 Valley Circle).  The shuttle bus will stop beginning at 1pm (roughly every 15-20 minutes) until 2:15pm, and will run from 4:30-7pm after the program at Ezzi Masjid.  Hillpoint is roughly .8 miles from Temple Aliyah.  You may choose to walk from the parking lot to Temple Aliyah before the march, and take the shuttle back after the conclusion of the event.

UBER & LYFT: We encourage you to skip the hassle of parking and shuttling by using Uber or Lyft to be dropped off at Temple Aliyah at 2pm, and picked up from Ezzi Masjid following the meal.

On-Route Support

For those who cannot walk from Temple Aliyah to Woodland Hills Presbyterian Church (1 mile), shuttle buses will be available.

  • Woolsey Fire Update

    Woolsey Fire Update (11/12/18, 7:15pm):
Temple Aliyah is CLOSED TUESDAY. ECE classes will be held at deToledo High School. We have yet to determine whether we will be able to open the synagogue and/or schools on Wednesday.

    A Place to Gather
deToledo High School (22622 Vanowen St., West Hills) continues to offer shelter to anyone in need of a place to be during the day. Childcare (for all ages) as well as counseling for adults is available. The synagogue staff is working from deToledo, and would love your company. Whether you've been evacuated or not, we hope that you will gather with community members from around the affected areas.

    Emergency Housing
More than a dozen members of our amazing community have already offered their homes for anyone forced to evacuate. Additionally, Camp Ramah in Ojai has offered to house people in need of shelter.

If you are in need of a home to go to please email akraus@templealiyah.org or call (757)716-8184 at any point.

Click here for more information and support for evacuees.
