High Holy Day Childcare and Children’s Programming

  • Parents must be on premises while children are at these program.
  • For the safety of your children, children may only be signed in or out of the program by a parent or guardian.
  • Please be aware that even though the sanctuary services may begin earlier and end later, we can provide supervision and programming only at the times listed below.
  • The time your children attend programming must correspond with your High Holy Day tickets. i.e. If you have early service tickets, then your child can ONLY attend programming during the early service.

ECE’s Camp Tekiah (18mo – 5 years old)

Each day will be filled with fun projects, such as challah baking, playdough, bubble play, block building and music, as well as sports, fitness and other enrichment activities.
$36 total per child, includes all days and activities

Throughout the day, your children will participate in activities that explore the richness of the customs and traditions of the High Holy Days.

Some of our fondest Jewish memories happen around a dining table. Join us for a new and vibrant experience designed to welcome all our teens to a meaningful Rosh Hashanah.

Wherever You Go, There’s Always Someone Jewish (Rosh Hashanah – Late Service Only)

This new, engaging program will take us on a “hike” up Eilat Street to get to know our synagogue community (and clergy!)

We are all superheroes. Join us for a fun and thoughtful session focused on making the most of each day and remembering the responsABILITY we have to help those around us.

Teens (Grades 9-12)

SOLD OUT – The Madrichim program is full.  We are no longer accepting teens for this program.
Jewish Educators in Training (JET)
High school students will guide preschool thru 6th grade students in our children’s program as they explore the High Holy Days through enriching activities such as baking, art, music, and drama.

  • Woolsey Fire Update

    Woolsey Fire Update (11/12/18, 7:15pm):
    Temple Aliyah is CLOSED TUESDAY. ECE classes will be held at deToledo High School. We have yet to determine whether we will be able to open the synagogue and/or schools on Wednesday.

    A Place to Gather
    deToledo High School (22622 Vanowen St., West Hills) continues to offer shelter to anyone in need of a place to be during the day. Childcare (for all ages) as well as counseling for adults is available. The synagogue staff is working from deToledo, and would love your company. Whether you've been evacuated or not, we hope that you will gather with community members from around the affected areas.

    Emergency Housing
    More than a dozen members of our amazing community have already offered their homes for anyone forced to evacuate. Additionally, Camp Ramah in Ojai has offered to house people in need of shelter.
