Celebrate with gusto! We know that our young children need to get up and move. It is too much to ask of them to sit through services and sermons. Our Young Family Holidays are all designed with that in mind.
From special stories with our rabbis and songs that are familiar, kids are welcome to bounce, sing and celebrate their way through the Jewish year. A picnic on Sukkot, dancing with the Torah on Simchat Torah and a costume parade on Purim add to the fun. And of course, friends, parents and grandparents are encouraged to join in these celebrations that are just for you.
Whether you grab a pizza and meet up with the family here, plan a pot-luck with friends, or join an ECE class playdate, our BYO picnic is an easy and fun way to start Shabbat. The picnic begins at 5:15, followed at 6:00 by a very special Shabbat service designed just for families. Informal and meaningful, this is a service where parents can pray and kids can be kids. Come to one or both!
Come ROMP with us! Share a Saturday afternoon with your Temple Aliyah friends! Our special guest will lead us in song and movement as we celebrate and say good-bye to Shabbat. You can even bring a group of friends and have dinner afterwards. It’s a great way to wind down your Saturday! Check for dates and performers.
A special story time when we come to YOU! Meet our rabbis at Barnes & Noble for a story and a holiday craft project. This is a perfect opportunity to share your love of Temple Aliyah with your friends…invite them to come along! This is a great community program!
